BankPay Setup

BankPay enables customers to pay directly from their bank account via Open Banking. Instead of entering card details, the customer selects their bank from a list, authenticates with their banking credentials, and authorizes the payment. Funds move directly from the customer’s bank account to your designated recipient account. Through PCI Booking’s Payments Library, you can offer BankPay alongside card payments and other methods on the same checkout page.

How BankPay Works with PCI Booking

When a customer selects BankPay at checkout, the Payments Library presents a bank selection screen. The customer chooses their bank, authenticates with it and authorizes the payment. The result is returned to your page in the library callback and to your server through Validate Operation as directChargeResults (success, message, data). This is the only place the outcome is reported: there is no webhook and no later status update from PCI Booking. Settlement happens between your provider and the banks, outside PCI Booking. No card data or banking credentials pass through your servers. BankPay supports CHARGE operations only. Tokenization and 3D Secure are not applicable to BankPay transactions.

Country and Currency Coverage

BankPay is currently available for payers in the following countries: Coverage refers to the payer’s bank location. Merchant onboarding eligibility depends on your business location and account setup. Coverage expands over time - contact support@pcibooking.net to confirm support for your target regions.

Prerequisites

• A PCI Booking merchant account with BankPay enabled
• A bank account with a valid IBAN and BIC/SWIFT code to receive funds
• Coordination with PCI Booking to configure your Open Banking provider

BankPay setup requires coordination with the PCI Booking team. Contact support@pcibooking.net to get started. Our team will guide you through account eligibility, provider configuration, and testing.

Store in PCI Booking

Once configured, create an eWallet account in PCI Booking with: You can store credentials through the PCI Booking portal or programmatically via the Store Credentials API.

Testing

Contact the PCI Booking team to receive sandbox credentials for BankPay testing. In sandbox mode, you can simulate bank selection and authorization without processing real payments, allowing you to verify the full flow before going live.
