Set up templates for Card Over The Phone

With the Card Over The Phone system, customers can send a message (via email or text message) to their clients where the message will contain a link to a custom landing page. Through the PCI Booking portal, customers can manage the content of the email and text message:

  1. Login to the users portal
  2. Go to "Gui Settings" > "Customization" > "Customize Templates"

In the template customization page, you will see three sections - "Customize Emails", "Customize text message" and "Customize landing page".

Customize Email

To customize the content of the email message sent to your client, go to the "Customize Emails" of the "Customize Templates" page and select the "Email type" to be "Card Over The Phone". You will then need to choose the language of the email you would like to work on (you will specify the language of the email in the COTP request itself).

Once you have selected the email and language, you will be able to update the following sections of the email:

  • Subject
  • Message Body (within the message body, you will have the option to use dynamic variables such as "recipient name", "amount", "description" and so on - you will then provide the values for these variables in the COTP request).
  • Go to action button (this is text that will be displayed in the button for the link that directs the client to the landing page).

You will have an option to preview the email with all of the content changes that you have made.

Once done, click on "Set New Text" to save your changes.

Customize Text Message

To customize the content of the text message sent to your client, go to the "Customize text message" of the "Customize Templates" page and select the language of the message you would like to work on (you will specify the language of the email in the COTP request itself).

Once you have selected the language, you will be able to update the text of the message. Please note that the content is limited to 117 characters (this includes all spaces and punctuation marks).
The link to the landing page will be added automatically at the bottom of the message.

Once done, click on "Set New Text" to save your changes.

Customize Landing Page

To customize the content of the landing page displayed to your client, go to the "Customize landing page" of the "Customize Templates" page and select the language of the landing page you would like to work on (you will specify the language of the email in the COTP request itself).

Once you have selected the language, you will be able to update the following sections of the landing page:

  • Header - the header is the text section that is displayed above the card form. Within the header, you will have the option to use dynamic variables such as "recipient name", "amount", "description" and so on - you will then provide the values for these variables in the COTP request.
  • Card Capture title - the title text that is displayed above the card form section of the page.
  • Footer - the footer is the text section that is displayed below the card form. Within the footer, you will have the option to use dynamic variables such as "recipient name", "amount", "description" and so on - you will then provide the values for these variables in the COTP request.

Dynamic values for the header and the footer

In addition to managing the template in our portal, customers can send custom values to be displayed in the both the header and footer sections of the landing page. These custom values, if provided, will override the template values set here.

You will have an option to preview the email with all of the content changes that you have made.

Once done, click on "Set New Text" to save your changes.
