Manage Stored Card

PCI Booking offers its customer several different methods designed to help manage and edit the cards stored in PCI Booking. The available methods are:

Delete Card

This method allows you to fully delete all details stored for a particular token (including card number, CVV, 3D secure authentication, etc).

Please note - deleting a card token cannot be undone.

Duplicate Card

This method allows you to make a copy of an existing token. When duplicating a card, you can provide a new CVV and a different reference value for the newly created token.

The CVV value of the token being duplicated will not carry over to the newly created token.

Once completed, there will be two tokens stored in PCI Booking and the new token will fall under the storage rules and fees per your account settings just like any other token.
It is your responsibility to decide what to do with the original token.

Update Expiration Date

This method allows you to update the expiration date of a stored card. When updating the expiration date, none of the other data stored for the card will be affected.

Updated expiration date = new CVV

In most cases, when the consumer is issued with a card with the same number but a different expiration date, there usually is also a change in the CVV for this card.
You should check with the card owner to ensure if the stored CVV has to be changed as well - you may need to manage the stored CVV .

Transfer Ownership

This method allows you to transfer ownership of a stored card token to another user in PCI Booking. Once this method is complete, you will cease to be the owner of the card and will not be able to perform any further actions on this token and the new owner will take on all responsibilities regarding this card - such as CVV Retention Policy, storage fees, etc.

In order to use this method, you will need to first get the user ID of the other PCI Booking customer that you intend to transfer ownership to. PCI Booking staff, for privacy reasons, cannot confirm who is or is not a customer.
